The stories were all set in Israel and not typical American vet tales. Set in small bits, one story each and spanning several decades and a lot of different animals, I found each of them interesting.
I was hop in g for something as warm and funny as the book above. This is a series of vignettes, perhaps interesting to animal lovers but lacking depth.

Dr Ben Ziony has had an interesting career as a veterinarian and writes about some of his more exciting cases.From a student in Bologna, Italy to a visiting veterinarian in pre-revolutionary Iran and then a large and small animal practicioner in his native Israel, his dedication and love of animals shows throughout his stories and life.I found this book to be absorbing and fulfilling and a prime example of the life of a dedicated doctor. Hopefully, you will too.
