The author markets this same book with three different covers. All three of them have a mismatch between the custom firearms index and the corresponding page numbers. He skips page 76 in the index and has references for two different firearms on page 84.This is sloppy work and you may have problems getting your guns back if they are stolen and you hand this book over to the police because of the indexing problems.

Bought 2 of them, one for me and one for fiance. I like the fact you can put a picture with each firearm so does my fiance. I've filled up half the book but have plenty of room for more. Fiance only has 4 firearms now but will be adding more. She liked that it was straight forward easy to understand. We both highly recommend

Good logbook. Make sure you use a regular ballpoint pen, as a fine Sharpie and similar pens bleed thru the paper. Space for a photo is a plus which is useful for high-value guns.

This is a term in photography where the photographer makes the subject matter in sharp focus and the background is blurred for maximum effect.The author gives authoritative and very knowledgeable info to grow mushrooms at home and the different breeds.It is a great book by itself, but I can't help feeling that he really missed the boat by not explaining how growers once established can then sell them to restaurants who want very fresh mushrooms delivered locally a couple of times a week. My only disappointment is that there weren't more pictures to accommpany the process explanations. Would have loved to see what a bag of spores should look like when you order it online. Any process needs pictures at every step. Otherwise I am inspired to try it, I would be more apt to look for a kit though. I just don't feel I know enough to step out on my own.

I literally have 1 day to study for this exam as there was a mix up with my school but I've got years of experience with Excel so crossing my fingers! My only issue with purchasing the kindle edition is that there is no way to get the practice problems from the links provided in the book. You will be directed to Microsofts website and then have to create an account then register the book, then nothing. I searched and searched with no luck. I did not get this to take the certification test but just as a general guide for Excel. I think this is a much better book for someone who is at least computer literate and doesn't want to go the "For Dummies" route. You could buy a book that is thousands of pages and still not know all there is to know about Excel, so if that's what your looking for then just keep searching. This book is about 140 pages covering the basics with very clear instructions on how to do that function. I don't know how well this prepares you for the 77-420 exam but for my purposes this and the Microsoft Excel Expert book are my goto resources when I am working with Excel.

My husband used this book and said it was easy to follow. He was able to pass the test... what the book needs to have is a sample of what the test will look like at the testing center because it takes most of your test time to figure out.... not the books fault but definitely the test software creators fault. It was a great resource for studying for the exam as it includes a website to download a set of practice workbooks to follow along with the text and work out problems at the end of each section.The only con was that they didn't create a website or workbook to verify your answers.

I own all the new (3.3 onward )OpenGL books found on the market.So far ,this one is absolutely the best for non beginners.I would give it 5 stars if it had more content on GLSL Programming techniques but even with noticeable lack of GLSL based topics this books contains super invaluable tips and techniques which are essential for development and optimization of complex rendering systems.That is true , this book is simply not for the beginners.If you don't understand first how OpenGL pipeline works it will be hard to understand most of the subjects in the book.Many of the chapters deal with pipeline optimization like multi- context , multi-GPU programming , texture upload/download time optimization and much more.I must emphasize that I bought this book while being at the finish line of complex OpenGL 4.0 render engine project where I needed to make optimization especially in the texture upload/donwload module, and several of the techniques I found in this book had a huge positive impact on the end result of the project.One more thing ,I believe is important to note ,is that not all the code examples in the book are written using OpengGL 3.3-4.2.Some of those are done using the fixed (old) pipeline because the main point of the authors was to teach you a specific concept and not OpenGL API.So if you are after learning OpenGL API this book is not for you.Thanks to the authors for this great piece of work!

The book is a MUST for every serious openGL programmer - you definitely want this book on your programming books shelf as a quick reference & some invaluable tips resource.I can say without any doubt it's one of the best, non-beginners, book on modern openGL.As mentioned by author itself (on back cover), this book is for intermediate to advanced levels only & one should buy it to further his knowledge on advanced topics. If one needs to learn openGL from scratch I would recomend to begin with the red book (8th ed.) & then once you master topics there & want more resource to lean from, buy this book.The book include excellent resource on many advanced topics (that lack proper documentation on web), such as: Tessellation Shaders, multi GPUs on single PC (mixing render & compute), Depth of field, real time deformation, performance tuning, in-game video capture & much more ! (see table of content for complete listing)Since there are many contributors to this book, each chapter written by someone else - most of them write very good & easy to follow, but some write long paragraph that is hard to follow & bit confusing,Some chapters are dedicated to WebGL / openGL ES - 12 out of 44 chapters are webGL/openGL ES related (about 120 pages). Though that's good in some way, to get a "taste ", I wish the author would "split" those into a separate books (one for mobile/web & other sole for openGL), that way those who don't work in that field could get more chapters & resources on topics that do relate to them.Website of the book contains updated errata for any books typos & errors in code listing as well as download link for code examples listed on the book (hosted on GitHub).

I ended up buying this book after reading Patrick Cozzi's Virtual Globe engine book. This book has better print quality and just looks beautiful.The topics are great and contain lots of useful experience for WebGL, OpenGL ES, and OpenGL. In fact, this book is a compendium of high quality OpenGL knowledge. For example, the topics on performance and state tracking is one area that separate "toy" projects from production code. I only wish this was better presented and contained more information.

This is a great book - it has many different techniques that, yes you could find online, but are nicely self-contained with example code that help you get stuff done.I bought it for one of the chapters - but I will be returning to it for many of the rest.

This book is an excellent resource for modern gl techniques. Another reviewer dinged it for lack of glsl, but it has an entire chapter dedicated just to glsl specifics (not techniques), which I found both sufficient and appropriate, given the wide breadth of material.Any serious graphics engineer should own this book.

I really enjoyed the first book and have read many of the author’s books. The second book was even better than the first. The boom follows up after the first five days or so of the EMP attack and Tyler, Erika, and Nate are in Whitefish with Tyler’s family. Gabriel is seeking vengeance for his twin brothers death and going after Corey with all he has. The book adds a new character, Jude, who has another survival group camped near Whitefish. An interesting twist for Tyler becomes known and now he knows why his “father” was pushing him harder than Corey when growing up. Great read and looking forward to the next book in April.

A cast of characters that will keep the reader wondering what is going to happen next. Lots of twists and turns in this one and action galore.A new character, Jude, is brought into the mix early in this one. As one might expect, the breakdown of the town of Whitefish, Montana, begins soon after the EMP hits.Most interesting mix of characters, a solid plot and the reader is in for an excellent read. The writing is crisp and action abounds for the duration.Will definitely keep reading this series.Most highly recommended.

Wish I do write a review like mr. Hunt writes. But since I have no talent just take my word and don't miss any of his books

Great sequel to "Rules of Survival". Couldn't put it down.

The action is centered around the two sons. The story leaves out what is happening in the rest of the town's people and surrounding area. Not enough hunting going on or not wrote about. Fishing to would of been what most of the outsiders would have been doing for food. No one thought to go to the highway to see if they could get supplies out of abandoned semis? It is your story I apologize for the critic of survival. Great book I read both books in 4 days total.

Surviving the end of the world is hard enough. Add family drama, revenge and hate to the mix and you have a great story. Awesome characters the you don't know whether to love them or hate them. Reading the second part of this series just make you want to read the next book. Jack Hunt has a way of writing that helps to relate to each character, enjoying the ride which is the continuing drama of life and family.

I love this story. The story has several threads going at the same tome It has so much conflict between family members... makes it very real. I can't wait for the next book in this series. It is the kind of book you need on a cold rainy Sunday afternoon cause you can't put it down.
